Hauling Scrap Metal & Paper On Shortline Railway!
Posted to Facebook Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Group Page September 1, 2018 by Brian Gibson. Description from post
Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. Newest railroad company in Ohio. New investor group. Pulling scrap metal loads and boxcars used for rolls of paper. One of the last trips for this rare GP49. Cincinnati East Terminal Railway in Mount Orab, Ohio crossing Eastwood Rd. The GP49s are on their last days before they get replaced with a couple older General Electric locomotives from the TTI Railroad in Paris, Kentucky. Unreliable rumor has it that the trade could be made at any day so I will record these Geeps as much as possible before they are gone. Frontier Rail is a majority owner of CCET and it now is also owned by a different investor group. I learned this on August 4, 2018 from FaceBook. Also, on December 17, 2018 I found out that Frontier Rail has changed its name to Comumbia Rail. This train was filmed August 31, 2018 AD at 1:52pm heading westbound on the Norfolk Southern Peavine Line. As you know, this line was closed here for almost a year after NS shut it down and then it was leased and reopened by CCET on March 20, 2015. Fine print: Mrs. JawTooth actually filmed this for me! I taught her well! See my playlists for Cincinnati East Terminal Railway and Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. Thanks for watching! Please comment, rate and SUBSCRIBE TO JAWTOOTH AND RING THE BELL!!
