N&W 1429 At Clare In 1952

Photo of locomotive No.1429 taken in Clare Yard February 24, 1952. This locomotive was originally built as a class Z1a for the N&W by Schenectady Locomotive Works in 1915. In March of 1930 the N&W rebuilt several of these locomotives into Z1b class locomotives. No.1429 was scrapped in 1957. Rod Varney photo, Ed Fannin collection reprint.
