New Crossing Signals On Roundbottom
I posted this picture to fb on July 26 with the following description.

Roundbottom's got new blinkers!

If you traveled (or tried to travel) Roundbottom Road in July, you likely know it was closed at the crossing. Well, Roundbottom reopened this week and look what the railroad fairy left. A new overhead signal. There is only one on the south side, but it works well. It lines up perfectly with the westbound lanes on Roundbottom Road.

--------------------

The rest of the story, Roundbottom Road was closed from Tealtown to the crossing for two weeks in July 2022. There has bee a lot of work in this area in the last couple years with a new manufacturing facility going in along Roundbottom about a 1/4 to 1/2 mile east of here. That needed quite a bit of work to local water and sewage lines.

In addition to the new warehouse, the crossing was replaced with the concrete slabs earlier in 2022. That was not part of this July project. The only thing I noticed changed is the single cantelever crossing lights. These lights line up perfectly for on coming traffic.
