Summit Road Looking West
This is looking west acoss the Summit Road crossing. This is actually a very sad scene for those familiar with the location thirty years ago. The creek runs down the left side of this shot. The trees right along the tracks did not use to be there. The creed was clear and visible all the way to the bend. At this point on the Peavine, trains were nearing the top of the nearly seven mile climb up Batavia Hill, and were working hard at this point. Trains paralleling the creek made a spectacular view, one that I have been very excited to recrete on my Peavine Division layout.
