Dak Knight Rises

The Dak Knight Rises to the top of the TOW charts with a 126-113 victory over the Beercats. Jarad Goff led the way with 26. Kyren Williams added 21 and Travis Etienne put up 20 more. The win keeps the Dak Knight within a game for first place in the Landry division, and are now in second place.
It was a low scoring week in the NFL, resulting in lower scores in the FFL. But don’t tell that to Raheem Mostart, who was Player of the Week with 31. Mostart help keep Shakedown the only undefeated team in the Edison Works FFL. Shakedown dropped the Scammers 117-106. Patrick Mahomes added 21 in a rather modest performance for him.
The Rally Possums suffered their first defeat of the season. Bane defeats the Possums 95-73 in a good matchup of Landry division rivals. Tyreek Hill led the way for Bain with 22. The Landry division is shaping up to be the strongest in the league, with three teams at 4-2 or better.
And everyone has a win now in both leagues. Transformation Worldwide chowed down on TacoCorp 99-63. Its been a rough start to the season Transformation Worldwide, but it appears a week away from work gave them time to develop a winning gameplan.
Happy is hot. Hapy has won three in a row, and is now in first place in the Shula division. I’m sensing some executive privilege here, but all is fair in love and fantasy football. And there is no love lost in this division. Happy beat Down the Drain 95-82.
I put this game off as long as I could. You should not be winning fantasy football games with 74 points. But that is exactly what MomBall did against Joanne, 74-62. Thanks to Joanne’s lost, Shakedown has a whopping three game lead in the Noll division.
STEEL CITY FOOBALL TO BM LEAGUE
Steel City FooBall was the big winner in the Brilliant Manufacturing league. FooBall blew SeaBreeze away with a 119-70 victory. Raheem Mostert was POW in the BM League as well, leading the way with 31 for FooBall. Jalen Hurts and Kyren Williams added 27 and 21 respectively.
The best game of the week saw the Old England Patriots beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 83-77. The Patriots got twenty plus from both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Etienne. That was enough to secure the victory as the Patriots advance to 4-2 on the season.
The Gritz Blitz Falcons remain the only undefeated team in the BM league. They beat Grande Fantasma 99-90. Lamar Jackson and Cooper Kupp had 21 and 20 points for the Falcons.
Rimski’s Raiders dealt the Baloony Boiz a disappointing defeat 105-61. It kept the Boiz from making up ground on the Sammers in the Brown division. The Raiders were led by their Minnesota Vikings defense, who score 22.
The opportunity that the Boiz missed out on was created by the Cincinnati Eagles. The Eagles upset the Scammers 97-87. Dak Prescott secured the come from behind victory on Monday night with 26 points for the birds.
Last but not least was Prestige Worldwide’s 111-69 win over the Willow Run Flyers. Worldwide and the Flyers are now tied for second in the Lombardi division, but both are a full three games behind the Falcons.
SURVIVOR
Joanne’s 62 points was the lowest in the score in the Edison Works league, and drops Joanne off Survivor Island. Leaving the island with Joanne is the Willow Run Flyers. Don’t look now, but Survivor is halfway done. Six weeks, twelve teams eliminated, twelve teams left.
GAME OF THE WEEK
We are still struggling to get that really great matchup of teams with winning records. They have to be on the schedule somewhere. But for this week I’m picking two teams that are hot.. And have decent records.
Happy is among the hottest teams in the league. After an 0-3 start, they have run off three consecutive wins. Only Shakedowns six wins are a longer streak in the Edison Works league. Lamar Jackson will be the key player for Happy when the line up this week.
The Dak Knight Rises is coming off TOW honors. They are in a desperate fight for the Landry division, and cannot afford a loss now that they have gotten back to within a game of the top spot. Jared Goff will be their man under center this week.
